HISTORY OF COOTACOM WE GET YOU STARTED PTY LTD

COOTACOM was established by Daniel Dawson in 1997 from humble beginnings. It began when Daniel, was constantly consulted for computer advice and consultation from family and friends. In particular, Daniel recalls, while setting up a computer for a friend, his suggestion that Daniel utilise his skills to start a part-time business. "Cootacom - We Get You Started" was registered as a business on the 11th of February 1997.

Cootacom has since been built on referrals from friends and clients who have utilised the services offered and been extremely happy and satisfied with the result. The goal has always been, and will continue to be, to give clients TOTAL SUPPORT before, during and after provision of all COOTACOM services.

Since 1997 COOTACOM has continued to grow, and clients have requested more and more services. Hence the business expanded rapidly, catering for the growing IT technology needs of both home and business users.

Daniel’s degree in Business - Systems Support, along with highly placed positions he held in IT support and administration within two highly regarded universities of technology, gave him a wealth of knowledge. Using this knowledge and experience, the level of service and quality of product increased 10 fold.

On the 1st July 2003 COOTACOM become a registered Proprietary Limited company and at this time also become Daniel’s full-time employer. COOTACOM is currently going through a huge growth spurt, and is currently attracting many small businesses to utilise the company's wealth of services.

COOTACOM, is about building successful and rewarding relationships with its clients. COOTACOM knows that 'the one solution fits all' approach does not work in IT, and COOTACOM works to find an individual solution for everyone. Some of their innovative ideas include an IT Maintenance and Logbook Service, and a total IT management approach.

In March 2005 COOTACOM moved into a purpose built Office/Warehouse to help with the rapid growth. The building is located in Williamstown and has a large workshop area where new PC’s are built and repaired, along with office space for staff, meeting rooms and a new IT Training Lab.

With the move into the new premises came the ability to provide IT Training to not only existing customers but to the greater community. COOTACOM noticed that simply supplying the PC in some cases was not enough, so they began training staff on how best to use their latest equipment.
